Blog post #2

there are many differences in paper media and electronic media. the one that sticks out to me is the way we can access both types. when you want to go read a paper or get a magazine you have to go out and get a newspaper, but with electronic media it is there with a few pushes of the button. i believe that in the not so distance future, maybe the next 200 years, there wont be a need to print out newspapers or magazines because of the ever growing ease and accessibility of the internet. it is only logical that as we get more and more into technology and less and less into actually going to get a book, that the change would be made. i can speak for personal experience with this issue. this year we had the option of getting a book in the hard, paper copy or getting it in the digital copy. now i have never seen this before, but i was amazed that i could just access a book without the book being right there. so as electronic media grows and evolves the need for book will steadily decrease until there isn't a need for them and they are all put onto the internet in electronic public libraries. this future isn't every far away, many of the older generations are lost when it comes to electronic media and ways to use the internet, so as they die out, then the newer generations, such as my own, will prevail and become the first generation to go completely digital.
